We are seeking an experienced, passionate, and hands-on Assistant Spa Director to help lead one of Arizona's premier luxury spa destinations. This role is ideal for a hospitality leader who is energized by developing people, driving operational excellence, and delivering exceptional guest experiences. What You’ll Do As Assistant Spa Director, you will partner closely with the Spa Director to oversee daily operations, profitability, team development, and guest satisfaction. You will serve as a visible leader within the spa, creating an environment where both guests and associates feel valued, supported, and inspired. Key Responsibilities Note: the following duties and responsibilities may not be all-inclusive Leadership & Team Development Lead, coach, and inspire a team of spa professionals, supervisors, and service providers. Foster a culture of accountability, engagement, and continuous improvement. Mentor associates and support career development opportunities. Participate in recruiting, hiring, onboarding, training, and performance management. Conduct coaching conversations, evaluations, and recognition initiatives. Spa Operations Oversee day‑to‑day spa operations to ensure seamless service delivery. Maintain the highest standards of cleanliness, organization, and facility presentation. Ensure all spa equipment and facilities are properly maintained and operating efficiently. Collaborate with resort departments to create exceptional guest experiences. Guest Experience Champion luxury service standards and ensure exceptional guest satisfaction. Address guest concerns with professionalism, empathy, and urgency. Continuously identify opportunities to enhance services, offerings, and operational processes. Financial & Business Performance Assist with managing departmental budgets, payroll, labor costs, and expenses. Analyze business performance and identify opportunities to increase revenue and profitability. Support promotions, special events, and revenue‑generating initiatives.Monitor productivity and scheduling to maximize operational efficiency. Culture & Communication Lead regular team meetings focused on communication, training, recognition, and engagement. Serve as an ambassador of Sanctuary's values and commitments. Promote a positive, collaborative, and guest‑focused work environment. Requirements What We’re Looking For Required Qualifications Previous leadership experience in a luxury spa, wellness, hospitality, or resort environment. Strong operational, financial, and business acumen. Exceptional leadership, coaching, and team‑building skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Proven ability to resolve challenges and make sound business decisions. Passion for wellness, luxury hospitality, and creating memorable guest experiences. Success in This Role Looks Like Building strong relationships with guests and associates.
