About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Highway Construction Project Manager to oversee all phases of highway and roadway construction projects — from planning and budgeting through execution and closeout. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in civil construction, excellent leadership skills, and a proven ability to deliver complex infrastructure projects safely, on time, and within budget.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, coordinate, and manage all aspects of highway construction projects, including planning, scheduling, budgeting and quality control.
• Ensure all work complies with contract documents, safety regulations, and environmental standards.
• Develop and maintain project schedules and cost forecasts; track progress against goals and milestones.
• Oversee procurement of materials, equipment, and subcontractor services.
• Conduct regular site visits and progress meetings with clients and inspectors.
• Manage project documentation, RFIs, change orders, and closeout procedures.
• Promote and enforce the company’s safety culture and ensure compliance with OSHA and TxDOT requirements.
• Identify potential risks and implement mitigation strategies to ensure project success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• Minimum 5–10 years of experience managing highway, road, or infrastructure construction projects.
• Strong understanding of TxDOT specifications, standards, and practices.
• Proven experience with project scheduling software (e.g., MS Project).
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to job sites as needed.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $130,000.00 per year

Work Location: In person
