About the Role

CyberDomeUSA is seeking a motivated Entry-Level Cybersecurity Specialist to join our growing security team. This role is ideal for individuals looking to build a strong foundation in cybersecurity while gaining hands-on experience in real-world security operations.

You will support daily security activities, help monitor systems, identify vulnerabilities, and assist in protecting the organizations IT infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor security tools, firewalls, and intrusion detection systems for potential threats
• Review system logs and investigate suspicious or unusual activity
• Assist in cybersecurity incident response and document findings
• Perform vulnerability scans and support remediation efforts
• Manage user access controls and permissions
• Ensure systems are updated with latest security patches and updates
• Support compliance efforts (NIST, HIPAA, ISO 27001, etc.)
• Assist in employee security awareness and training initiatives
• Maintain accurate documentation of security procedures and policies

Qualifications

Required:

• Bachelors degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
• Basic understanding of networking, firewalls, and cybersecurity principles
• Familiarity with Windows and/or Linux operating systems
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Preferred:

• Internship or hands-on experience in cybersecurity
• Certifications such as CompTIA Security+, Network+, or similar
• Experience with SIEM tools or vulnerability scanning platforms

Skills

• Knowledge of common cyber threats (phishing, malware, ransomware)
• Understanding of risk assessment and security best practices
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
