About the candidate: We are currently looking for an Account Executive with 3+ years’ nonprofit fundraising experience. We are seeking an ambitious and hard-working junior-level development professional looking to advance to the next level in their career. The ideal candidate will be highly organized and a detail-oriented multi-tasker, with strong personal communication skills, an aptitude for writing, and project management experience. This person may have been a Development Officer, Associate, Assistant, or Coordinator at an established nonprofit or may be currently serving in a supportive role at a fundraising consultancy. Ideally, this person will have had exposure to multiple development teams and is in a position to judge which fundraising practices are more effective than others. Their current responsibilities may include grant writing, gift acknowledgement, prospect research, portfolio management, or donor communications. This person will be comfortable liaising with clients and can think quickly on their feet while maintaining composure and professionalism in high pressure situations. The right candidate will have an entrepreneurial drive and identify as a problem solver. We are looking for someone with intellectual curiosity and a strong work ethic, who is comfortable in a fast-paced environment. This person should be comfortable working both independently, and collaboratively, and able to adjust to shifting priorities. This person will handle the tactical execution of fundraising strategies and activities required to achieve the client’s fundraising goals. These activities include and are not limited to reaching out to funders by phone and email, writing correspondence, and data management/record keeping. As this time, Hudson Ferris is embarking on a new business venture with the launch of our fundraising help desk Margaret! While this tool will have its own team supporting the platform, the Accounts Team will provide fundraising expertise when needed to Margaret clients, and may support the launch of Margaret by executing such tasks as answering questions, providing customer tech support, onboarding new clients, and more. This is an exciting opportunity to democratize the fundraising consultant world and provide access to nonprofits who have been unable to obtain these services. With this launch, we are looking for an Account Executive who has an entrepreneurial spirit and would be invested in this new venture. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Supporting Associate Director and Director of Fundraising Consulting in managing deadlines and project workflow, to execute on client deliverables in an on-time and high-quality manner Creation of marketing and presentation materials in Canva Represent Hudson Ferris at conferences and pitch prospective clients Supporting the research department in producing prospect research products for clients Interfacing with clients regularly and maintaining positive client relations Drafting emails, promotional content, donor communications and appeals Handling logistics for trainings and virtual meetings Reporting on fundraising outcomes to clients regularly Maintaining accurate donor/funder records Managing follow-up processes for funder approaches Participate in the development and improvement of systems to effectively conduct prospect outreach and track fundraising success Staying abreast of industry trends in philanthropy, fundraising strategy, corporate social responsibility, and our clients’ impact areas Representing Hudson Ferris in a warm, professional demeanor at community or client events Core requirements: 3+ years of experience in professional nonprofit fundraising, in house at nonprofits or at fundraising consultancies Proficiency with Zoom and Microsoft Suite Detail-oriented, self-motivated with a strong ability to work independently Ability to prioritize and project manage seamlessly, using Monday.com, Asana, or similar project management tools Ability to adjust and pivot based on shifting priorities to meet clients’ needs Critical thinking and problem-solving skills Hard working, reliable, and committed to clients’ success in their charitable missions Personal resilience and a willingness to give and utilize constructive feedback Positive outlook and sense of humor Demonstrated commitment to the Hudson Ferris Core Values of Curiosity, Solidarity, Tenacity and Persistence Preferred requirements: Experience and/or willingness to learn about agentic AI and its applications for fundraising Experience with Foundations/Institutional Giving and stewardship Experience with generating and maintaining corporate partnerships Experience with CRM platforms like Salesforce, Saleshandy, and research databases like DonorSearch and Inside Philanthropy Experience interfacing with clients directly, through activities such as sales, public relations/media, consulting work, or fundraising Demonstrated competency with project management, individually and as part of a team Experience with cutting edge generative AI tools Experience with Monday.com or similar project management software Experience in 2 or more nonprofit development offices or consultancy settings, with an ability to judge which fundraising practices are more effective than others Experience developing and editing fundraising copy, such as grants, appeals, and donor-facing communications Experience with capital campaigns or comprehensive campaigns Experience in one or more development department with a robust annual giving operation and/or major giving operation Compensation and benefits: Compensation package and benefits include: Competitive base salary ranging of $65,000-$75,000 Opportunity for significant performance-based bonuses, including business development and client retention. 401k retirement plan with employer match Twice-annual performance reviews and opportunity for raises/promotions Health insurance coverage, and an annual stipend for Dental and Vision coverage Generous PTO policy A hybrid work environment Regular team building opportunities Regular Team Skill Builds designed to allow junior staff to learn from experts’ experience in the field of fundraising and nonprofit management #J-18808-Ljbffr
