Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Heavy Equipment Operator with a strong background in trench excavating around live utilities. This role is critical to ensure safe, precise, and efficient excavation on active job sites.
Key Responsibilities:
Operate heavy equipment including excavators and other machinery with precision and care
Safely excavate around live utilities (water, sewer, gas, electrical, telecom)
Follow all safety protocols and job site procedures
Work closely with crew members to complete projects efficiently
Perform daily equipment inspections and basic maintenance
Maintain awareness of surroundings to prevent damage or service interruptions
Requirements:
Proven experience operating heavy equipment, especially excavators
Demonstrated experience working around live underground utilities
Strong understanding of job site safety practices
Ability to work effectively as part of a team
Reliable, responsible, and detail-oriented
