Kettle Furnace Operator

We are seeking a Kettle Furnace Operator to join our team! The Kettle Operator is responsible for operating kettles, loading, and casting metal, refining metal using chemical formulas, labeling dross, performing safety checks, maintaining forklifts and excavators, and ensuring proper operation of machinery.

Job Types: Full-time

Pay Rate: $19.00

Schedule: Monday through Friday, some Saturdays 12 hr. shifts/ 6:00 AM 6:00 PM (Rotating Weekends as needed)

Job Responsibilities:

• Load and cast metal from kettles.
• Adhere to recommended guidelines for metal refinement.
• Use specified techniques and methods for metal refinement.
• Comply with prescribed steps for metal refinement.
• Use chemical formula to remove impurities in metal refining process.
• Aid in purification of metals by eliminating impurities.
• Facilitate removal of impurities during metal refinement.
• Perform skimming of dross after chemical addition.
• Ensure proper labeling of the type of dross.
• Conduct regular inspections of machinery to ensure proper functioning.
• Monitor equipment performance and address issues promptly.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Successful completion of drug and background screening.
• Reliable transportation.
• 1 year experience operating kettle operator REQUIRED.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to identify and resolve problems.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to comply and maintain a clean, shaven face for safety purposes.
• Ability to work within a non-climate-controlled environment.
