About the Role
We are seeking a Legal Assistant/Secretary to be the welcoming voice and face of our firm. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys helping people, thrives in a professional environment, and is interested in building a career in law.
Responsibilities
Answer and route calls with warmth, empathy, and professionalism.
Welcome clients and visitors to the office, creating a positive first impression.
Perform administrative tasks including filing, scanning, copying, and data entry.
Assist attorneys and staff with basic legal support tasks as needed.
Maintain office organization and help ensure smooth day-to-day operations.
What We’re Looking For
A friendly and professional phone manner, with excellent communication skills.
Empathy and patience when speaking with clients who may be going through difficult times.
Genuine interest in law and eagerness to grow your knowledge in the legal field.
Prior family law office or law office experience is a plus, but not required—we’re happy to train the right person.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Proficiency with basic computer programs (Microsoft Office, email, etc.).
