Job Description

Mast-Jägermeister US, Inc., a leading distributor of premium spirits in the United States, is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Summer Legal Intern to join our team. This position is ideal for a law student or recent graduate who is interested in developing their skills in legal research, contract drafting, and compliance within the alcohol industry. In this role, you will get first-hand experience with our work, our people, our brand, and culture. During this internship, you will have the opportunity to interact with the Senior Leadership Team and network with department leaders and other professionals across the organization to complete assigned projects and have the opportunity to attend organizational events. This internship is designed to be both practical and educational and apply skills acquired in school in a professional setting. The Legal Intern will gain insightful knowledge into what it is like to work in a legal department in a major spirits company.

This is a hybrid internship – ability to work in our HQ White Plains office and remotely.

Department Projects and Responsibilities:

  • Monitor industry news and regulatory updates to ensure the company remains informed about relevant legal developments.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide legal guidance on a range of business issues, including marketing, sales, and operations.
  • Assist in the preparation of legal memoranda, briefing materials, and presentations for internal stakeholders and external partners.
  • Perform other duties and special projects as assigned by the legal team.

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in or a recent graduate of an accredited law school.
  • Demonstrated interest in the alcohol industry, corporate law, or regulatory compliance.
  • Strong legal research and writing skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Detail-oriented and highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and legal research platforms (e.g., Practical Law).
  • Must be at least 21 years of age, in accordance with alcohol industry regulations.

Benefits

  • Highly competitive hourly rate-$25.00 an hour (32 hours per week). Program is 8-10 weeks. Preferred start date 6/1/26.

Mast-Jägermeister US, Inc. is an equal opportunity employer and encourages applicants from all backgrounds to apply. To be considered for this position, please submit your resume, cover letter, and a writing sample.

We thank all applicants for their interest, but only those selected for an interview will be contacted.
