Pediatric Medical Assistant needed for a
full-time contract (potential temp-to-hire) opportunity with Yoh's well-known client located in
Los Gatos, CA . --> Willingness to float to other surrounding offices in close proximity to Los Gatos office a huge plus.
This center provides comprehensive, preventive, and primary care services for children. You'll be accountable for front and back office responsibilities, with a main focus on back office. --> Shifts: Monday-Friday 8:30am to 5:00pm Top Skills You Should Possess: - Medical Assistant Certificate/Diploma
- Preferred: Registered or Certified Medical Assistant (CMA, RMA, CCMA)
- Positive attitude, professional, and must be a team player
- Looking for a responsible, friendly, and helpful employee with good attendance
- Prefer at least (2) years of experience in Peds but open to Primary Care or other similar settings (as long as confident with injections and vitals)
What You'll Be Doing: - Room patients and conduct vitals
- Prepare patients for exams
- Assist with set up and procedures
- Administer vaccines
- Collect and send specimens
- Process requests for RX refills
- Maintain supplies (verify fridge/freezer temps)
- Chart using EPIC
- Answer phones, take messages, and schedule appointments
- Insurance verification
- POCT
- Scanning/filing/faxing responsibilities
What You Need to Bring to the Table: - BLS/CPR certified
- Full medical clearance such as: proof of MMR, Hep B, Varicella in addition to TB or QuantiFERON Gold test within 90 days of start date
- Strong organizational skills and good at multi-tasking
- Pediatric immunization experience
