Join the Industry Leader in Upholstered Furniture Design \nWe’re seeking a detail‑driven trainee to support our Research & Development team in creating, testing, and refining upholstery patterns and prototypes. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands‑on problem‑solving and wants to grow into a technical pattern‑making position.\n What You'll Do \n

  • \nDevelop and maintain accurate digital and manual patterns for various upholstery products.\n
  • \n
  • \nCollaborate with R, Engineering, Cutting, and Upholstery teams.\n
  • \n
  • \nSupport prototype builds and adjust patterns based on fit and upholstery feedback.\n
  • \n
  • \nPrepare complete pattern packages for production facilities.\n
  • \n
  • \nSupport SKU onboarding and floor-level production trials.\n
  • \n
  • \nImprove material yield through optimized nesting.\n
  • \n
  • \nCreate technical documentation such as seam allowances and sewing guides.\n
  • \n
  • \nAssist with root-cause analysis on upholstery issues.\n
  • \n
\n Key Qualifications \n
    \n
  • \n Basic computer skills for pattern making and digital tracking\n
  • \n
  • \n General upholstery or sewing knowledge (preferred, not required)\n
  • \n
  • \n Strong willingness to learn R&D processes, pattern development, and prototyping\n
  • \n
  • \n Innovative mindset with the ability to troubleshoot and adapt during product development\n
  • \n
  • \n High attention to detail when measuring, cutting, and assembling test patterns\n
  • \n
  • \n Positive attitude and ability to collaborate with designers, engineers, and production teams\n
  • \n
  • \n Comfort working in a fast‑paced environment with evolving project needs\n
  • \n

    \n
  • \nExperience in cutting, sewing, upholstery, engineering, or QA\n
  • \n
  • \nNew product development support\n
  • \n
  • \nHigh-volume manufacturing experience\n
  • \n
\n Education \nPreferred backgrounds include Industrial Design, Furniture Design, Textile Technology, Patternmaking Certification, or Upholstery/Furniture Manufacturing Training. Equivalent experience is also considered.\n Tools & Software Proficiency- Preferred, Not Required \n
