Student Assistant Intern - Athletic Training Date Posted: May 07, 2025 Start Date: August 01, 2025 End Date: April 30, 2026 Classification: Federal Work Study Pay: $8 per hour Job Description The Samford University Sports Medicine Department is accepting applications from students who are interested in the field of Sports Medicine. Selected students will have the opportunity to gain valuable educational experience in Athletic Training and Physical Therapy. As a student assistant intern, you will gain experience in the prevention, care, and rehabilitation of a variety of athletic injuries. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to work with our clinical staff in the Sports Medicine Department. Federal Work/Study earnings will be paid biweekly in the form of a check or direct deposit payable to the student. This award does not credit to the account of the student as payment toward University charges. Goals To promote ethical and professional conduct. To provide outstanding clinical experiences in a variety of clinical settings to enhance student knowledge. To provide an opportunity for students to develop optimal skills in the prevention, recognition, evaluation, and care of athletic injuries. To provide an opportunity for students to develop rehabilitation and reconditioning skills. To provide the student with current information and trends in Sports Medicine. To promote professionalism.
