Role Overview
Security Engineers is seeking dedicated Unarmed Security Officers to help maintain safe and secure environments for our clients. Officers play a vital role in deterring incidents through visibility, vigilance, and proactive engagement. Responsibilities include patrolling, monitoring access points, verifying identification, responding to alarms/emergencies, and maintaining detailed logs. This role requires professionalism, strong observational skills, and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
Minimum Qualifications
Must have or obtain a Valid Security Officer/Guard License as required by the state licensing authority
Must be at least 18 years old
Duties & Responsibilities
Patrol & Surveillance
Conduct walking patrols to identify and report safety concerns
Monitor access points; verify IDs and credentials
Monitor surveillance systems for threats or suspicious activity
Incident Response & Reporting
Respond to alarms, emergencies, and incidents per protocol
Maintain accurate logs of activities and incidents
Perform routine security tasks (e.g., locking/unlocking doors)
Customer Service & Policy Enforcement
Assist visitors and employees professionally
Enforce site-specific Post Orders and security protocols
Ensure compliance with SEI and client policies (e.g., smoking, loitering, parking)
Required Skills & Abilities
Minimum
Ability to perform in fast-paced, high-pressure environments
Weekend availability
Strong situational awareness and problem-solving skills
Ability to remain calm and effective in critical situations
Basic computer skills; ability to use tablets for reporting
Preferred
Physical Requirements With or Without reasonable accommodation
(subject to change based on client-specific needs):
Stand/sit for at least 1 hour without break
Walk a minimum of ½ mile without stopping
Education & Experience
Minimum
High School Diploma or equivalent
No prior experience required
Preferred
1+ Year of Verifiable Security, Law Enforcement or Military experience
2+ years of verifiable customer service experience
