About Mommy Haven

Mommy Haven is a growing nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting mothers and children through stability, reunification, and wraparound support services. We are in the early stages of building our programs and are seeking mission-aligned volunteers to help us lay a strong foundation.

About This Role

This is an unpaid, volunteer position ideal for individuals who are passionate about community outreach, storytelling, and nonprofit growth. Volunteers will work closely with leadership to increase awareness of Mommy Haven’s mission and strengthen our community presence.

Responsibilities may include:

• Supporting social media content creation and posting
• Assisting with basic marketing materials (flyers, graphics, newsletters)
• Helping draft email communications and outreach messages
• Researching community partnerships and outreach opportunities
• Supporting website updates and content organization
• Tracking engagement metrics and maintaining simple reports
• Other supportive tasks based on skills and availability

Qualifications:

• Strong writing and communication skills
• Creativity and comfort with social media platforms
• Basic familiarity with Canva or similar tools (preferred but not required)
• Organized, reliable, and self-motivated
• Interest in nonprofit work, family support, or community engagement
• Students, career-changers, and service-driven individuals encouraged to apply

Time Commitment:

Flexible and discussed on an individual basis.

Compensation:

This is an unpaid volunteer position. While this role does not offer monetary compensation, volunteers gain valuable nonprofit marketing experience, professional references, and the opportunity to contribute to a meaningful community mission.
